3 Reasons to go Green

by Nina Sable and Claudia Shepherd Sable Homes Metro-West, Downsizing and Estates 06/23/2019

Green living has become one of the trending lifestyles of today. With mother Earth at the verge of destruction, everyone is on the lookout for ways to contribute to life sustenance on Earth. From a little tweak in their daily activities to a full-blown green lifestyle, more and more people are getting actively involved in preserving this planet. If you are yet unsure as to why you should join the trend, these reasons may be all you need to hop in.

Green Living Drastically Reduce Pollution

Pollution – water, soil, and air pollution inclusive – is the weapon humans use to destroy their home – planet earth. People are quick to indulge in activities that release pollutants into the air, land, or water bodies. Oil spillage, improper waste disposal, uncontrolled burning, smoke from car exhausts, chemicals, etc., are all results of human activities. These pollutants find their way into the land, water bodies, or the atmosphere and wreak havoc on our balanced ecosystem. An excellent way to curb this menace is to devise other means of carrying out these activities without producing pollutants. And that is precisely what green living entails.

Green Living Help Preserve the Already-Dilapidated Climate System

Climate change, rising sea levels, and shrinking glaciers are potential issues facing the world today. Sadly, human activities are the cause of the imbalance in our climatic system. Humans indulge in activities that release harmful gases such as methane and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. These gases cause a shift in the gaseous equilibrium maintained in the atmosphere, resulting in a plethora of damages. Green living helps reduce humans emission of noxious gases so the atmosphere can attain this equilibrium once again.

Green Living Helps Preserve Almost-Obsolete Natural Resources

Life sustenance is possible on earth as a result of several natural resources that mother Earth contain. The ecosystem maintains a balanced cycle that continuously replenishes these resources as humans consume them. But that doesn't hold anymore as humans are exhaustively employing these resources than mother earth can replace. Worse, there is no consideration on how to preserve the natural resources either. This lack poses a risk of exhausting earth's natural resources, causing it to be unable to support life. Green living aims at cutting back on activities that drain these resources. Thus preserving it for future use and protecting life on earth.

Mother Earth is dying. Sadly, the same people she set out to protect are at the trigger. Thankfully, some persons have awakened to their responsibility of protecting Earth, and it is only right to join the trend. Do right by mother earth! Go green!
